Anatomy of a 540gsm Hoodie

A hoodie is not a hoodie. There is the 280gsm tourist edition you find in airport stores, and there is the 540gsm weight you can feel through the shipping bag. The difference is not opinion. It is yarn count, knit density, and time.

Our fleece comes from a single mill outside Blumenau that has been running ringspun cotton since 1972. The looms move slower than the modern automated lines — and the fabric remembers.
